About the practitioner

 Dr. Yuxia, (Lucy) Sun, born in Shaanxi P.R.China on November 1962, graduated from Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicine in Shaanxi, China in 1984 and earned BA with honour. She continued with education in Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine University as well as Shaanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, earned MBA and was promoted as professor and doctor.   From the time she graduated from university, she was working in the same university and teaching hospital for more than twenty three years. As an expert in Traditional Chinese medicine she was selected by Chinese Ministry of Health to work  in Sudan, Africa, from July 1995 till July 1997 and received award for her outstanding medical service from ministry of health Omdurman friendship hospital of Sudan. During all these years, she was continuously improving her skill and knowledge, researching on Alzheimer disease, pain related disease, digestive system, nerve system disease etc. For her outstanding and dedicated work as a teacher and doctor, she has got many awards for her teaching and clinic work. As a main writer or co - writer, she has published four books and more than twenty scientific research works in medical journals. She did not only taught Chinese students, but also many foreign students, as well as western doctors from USA, Italy, England, Germany, France, Australia and many other countries who came to China to learn and know more about Chinese Medicine.

 In the year 2007, she came to Canada to offer all those she possess of Traditional Chinese Medicine to Canadian society and especially to North Bay where she settled down.
